​Call for proposals for capitalisation projects under the ENI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme 2014-2020


​​​The Territorial Cooperation Unit within the Funds and Programmes Division, MFEA, would like to inform that the call for proposals for capitalisation projects under the ENI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme 2014-2020 is open until the 28th July 2020. This call has a budgetary allocation of €11M, which may potentially be extended to €15.2M. This call shall focus on the following Priority Objectives:

Support innovative start-up and recently established enterprises
Strengthen and support euro-Mediterranean networks, clusters, consortia and value chains in traditional sectors and non-traditional sectors
Encourage sustainable tourism initiatives and actions
Support technological transfer and commercialisation of research results
Support SMEs in accessing research and innovation, also through clustering
Provide young people, especially those belonging to the NEETS, and women, with marketable skills
Support social and solidarity economic actors
Water management - Support sustainable initiatives targeting innovative and technological solutions to increase water efficiency
Waste treatment and recycling - Reduce municipal waste generation, promote source-separated collection and its optimal exploitation
Renewable energy and energy efficiency - Support cost-effective and innovative energy rehabilitations relevant to building types and climatic zones, with a focus on public buildings
Integrated Coastal Zone Management – approach to ICZM into local development planning

Eligible beneficiaries include public authorities, bodies governed by public law, private institutions and international organisations operating in the Programme's eligible area.

Call for applications: thematic experts for the preparation of the new 'Interreg NEXT MED' Operational Programme.

The Managing Authority of the ENI CBC Med programme are on the outlook for thematic experts in charge of supporting the preparation of the new Operational Programme 'Interreg NEXT MED' to be implemented in the period 2021-2027, as per the below:


 
Profile A – Thematic expert in the field of socio-economic development
Profile B – Thematic expert in the environmental field
Profile C – Expert in programme management
Profile D – Expert in evaluation and monitoring of programmes and public policies

Deadline for submission is: 23rd March 2020.

The Territorial Cooperation Unit within the Funds and Programmes Division, MEAE, would like to inform that the call for proposals for strategic projects under the ENI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme 2014-2020 is open until the 3rd July 2019 at 13.00 (CET).  This call has a budgetary allocation of €68M and focuses on the following Priority Axes:

Launch of the REGIOSTARS Awards 2019
 
 
Every year, the European Commission awards EU-funded projects which are original, innovative and inspiring. The REGIOSTARS are awarded to projects in five thematic categories, and the categories chosen for this year are as follows:
 
Category 1 - Smart Growth: Promoting digital transformation
Category 2 - Sustainable Growth: Connecting green, blue and grey
Category 3 - Inclusive Growth: Combatting inequalities and poverty
Category 4 - Urban development: Building climate-resilient cities
Category 5 - Topic of the year 2019: Modernising health services

The Funds and Programmes Division (FPD) within the Parliamentary Secretariat for European Funds and Social Dialogue, Ministry for European Affairs and Equality (MEAE), as the National Contact Point of the Interreg Italia – Malta Programme, the Interreg Europe Programme, the Interreg Mediterranean Programme and the ENI CBC Med Programme, is requesting a quotation for the provision of rubber stamps.
The related expenditure will be met from national funds.

The Managing Authority of the ENI CBC Med Programme, has launched a call for thematic experts in charge of supporting the Joint Monitoring Committee in the selection of the Programme’s priorities to be addressed by the call for Strategic Projects. In particular, the Managing Authority is looking for the following types of experts:
     Profile A – Thematic expert in the field of socio-economic development (in charge of the analysis related to Programme’s overall objective A. “Promote economic and social development”);
     Profile B – Thematic expert in the environmental field (in charge of the analysis related to Programme’s overall objective B. ”Address common challenges in the environment”).

ENI CBC MED Programme: 1st Call for Project Proposals
 
As the national contact point for the ENI CBC Med Programme, the Territorial Cooperation Unit within the Funds and Programmes Division, MEAE, would like to remind potential applicants, that the deadline for the 1st Call for Project proposals is Wednesday 24th January 2018 at 1:00 pm (GMT+1).  
 
We are also pleased to announce that the 6 Mediterranean Partner Countries (MPCs) have all signed their Financing Agreements with the EC, and thus are all fully eligible to participate in this call. The 6 MPCs are Jordan, Palestine, Tunisia, Lebanon, Egypt and Israel.
 
Interested parties might wish to look into the partner search facility which is also available online on http://www.enpicbcmed.eu/enicbcmed-2014-2020/project-ideas-and-partner-search. This tool is designed to help promote project ideas and search for partners.

ENI CBC MED Programme: Call for experts in charge of project evaluation
 
 
The Managing Authority has launched a call for experts in charge of supporting the Projects Selection Committee in the evaluation of the project proposals to be submitted under the ENI CBC Med Programme. In particular, the Managing Authority is looking for the following types of experts:
 
     Profile A - External assessors in charge of the quality assessment of proposals;
     Profile B - State Aid experts;
     Profile C - Environmental experts.
 
The roster of experts will remain valid for 5 years.

Applications shall contain the following documents:
 
     Request for participation dated and signed (attachment A);

European Cooperation Day 2017 - Drawing Competition

 
 
As the national contact point of the 2014-2020 Territorial Cooperation Programmes, including the Interreg Italia-Malta Programme, the Interreg Med Progamme, the Interreg Europe Programme, the Interact III Programme and the ENI CBC Med Programme, the Territorial Cooperation Unit within the Funds and Programmes Division, MEAE, is organizing a drawing competition for children aged 5 – 12 years old.  Further information about this competition, which is entitled ‘What is Cooperation?’ is available here.  Any clarifications may be sought from the Territorial Cooperation Unit on 2200 1142 or territorialcoop.fpd@gov.mt.

Launch of the ENI CBC MED Programme 2014-2020 - 13th April 2016
 
As the national coordinator of the ENI CBC MED Programme, the Funds and Programmes Division within the Parliamentary Secretariat for the EU Presidency 2017 and EU Funds, Ministry of European Affairs and Implementation of the Electoral Manifesto, would like to invite interested parties to the launch event of Programme in caption. During this session, which shall include the participation of the Programme’s Managing Authority, information on the new 2014 – 2020 programme shall be provided.  Public bodies, public equivalent entities and also private bodies are eligible for funding under the ENI CBC MED Programme.
 
The launch event will be held on the 13th April 2016 from 0900 hours to 1230 hours at the Fortifications Interpretation Centre, St. Mark Street, Valletta. Interested participants are requested to register by sending an e-mail to astrid.fenech@gov.mt  by 8th April 2016.

Info-session on funding opportunities under the 2014-2020 Territorial Cooperation Programmes and the ENI CBC Med Programme
 
On 2nd March 2016, an information-session in connection with new funding opportunities under the 2014-2020 Territorial Cooperation Programmes and the ENI CBC Med Programme was held at the University of Malta in view of popular demand by the University’s academics and staff.  The presentations, which may be accessed from here, were delivered by the Territorial Cooperation Unit within the FPD as the national coordinator of such Programmes.

Call for Expert: Strategic Environmental Assessment of the ENI CBC Med Programme 2014-2020

The Joint Managing Authority is looking for one expert in charge of the screening procedure and, upon request, of the Strategic Environmental Assessment for the ENI CBC MED Programme 2014-2020.

The Joint Managing Authority of the ENPI CBC MED Programme has announced that the call for experts in charge of supporting the Programme capitalization process and the preparation of the new 2014-2020 ENI CBC Med Programme has been published.
 
The deadline for sending applications is 20 January 2013. Interested candidates are encouraged to send their application as soon as possible in order to guarantee that applications are received within 25 January 2013, time limit set by the call.
