Programme Implementation

One of the main important functions of the Managing Authority is to implement the measures under the Rural Development Programme for Malta for the current programming period i.e. 2014-2020. The responsibilities regarding programme implementation include the following:

     Launching and implementation of Rural Development measures;

 ​​    ​​Manage and issue calls for project proposals;

 ​​    Provide clear operating rules and updating the manual of procedures;

 ​​     Liaise with the Paying Agency;

 ​​    Liaise with other entities responsible for the implementation of other funding programmes in order to                ensure coherence and cooperation;

 ​​    Sharing best practises with other Member States.
