MINISTRY FOR EUROPEAN FUNDS, SOCIAL DIALOGUE AND CONSUMER PROTECTION

The Ministry for European Funds, Social Dialogue and Consumer Protection (MFDC) is responsible for the strategic planning, coordination, administration, and oversight of European Union and international funding programmes allocated to Malta. The Ministry also leads national initiatives across social dialogue, industrial and employment relations, and consumer protection frameworks.

The Ministry ensures that EU-funded and nationally co-financed interventions align with applicable EU regulations, national legislation, and policy frameworks, while maintaining strong governance, accountability, and audit assurance. Concurrently, it works to foster fair and transparent market standards, facilitate tripartite dialogue among social partners, and uphold fair labour practices across the Maltese economy.
